Our edZOOcrew Kid Conservationist is Ava, age 10, a young Wildlife Guardian who turned her love for dolphins and marine life into a club that teaches other kids how to help protect them.
Ava is homeschooled and began her conservation journey by writing a paper about protecting sea turtles and marine life. After receiving her dolphin edZOOcation box, she was inspired to start a dolphin club for her friends, with plans to soon share it with her homeschool co-op.
Ava created her own Canva presentation filled with dolphin facts and information about how people can help protect them. She updates the presentation as she learns more and leads club meetings every week or every other week.

When asked why protecting wildlife matters to her, Ava said:
“Because I love animals and nature! I don’t want them to be gone, and if no one is gonna protect them, they might vanish one day.”
Each dolphin club meeting also includes a craft, usually made with recycled or eco-friendly materials. Through art, storytelling, education, and leadership, Ava is helping her friends learn about dolphins while encouraging them to care for marine wildlife.
Ava’s family shared that she planned and created the project on her own and loves sharing the new information she discovers. Her curiosity, creativity, and dedication show that kids can make a real difference by teaching others and taking action for wildlife.
As part of her recognition as an edZOOcrew Kid Conservationist, edZOOcation is making a $100 donation in Ava’s name to MareCet to support dolphins and dugongs.
Please join us in celebrating Ava and the incredible impact she is already making as a young Wildlife Guardian.
