Kid Conservationist of the Month: Meet Claire | edZOOcrew

Our edZOOcrew Kid Conservationist is Claire, age 5, a young Wildlife Guardian who turned her love for bees into action for pollinators in her own backyard.

Claire spent a week learning everything she could about bees and butterflies. She checked out books about bees from the library, read the book from her edZOOcation box, and visited an environmental learning center to explore their pollinator garden and native plant nursery.

When asked why bees matter, Claire said:

“Bees are important because they help make our food.”

Inspired by what she learned, Claire created a pollinator-friendly space at home. She painted a bee house, helped make a DIY bee water tree, and used the guide in her edZOOcation magazine to choose native pollinator plants for her backyard garden.

Claire’s family shared that she loves teaching others why bees are important. Her curiosity, kindness, and hands-on action show that kids can make a real difference for wildlife right where they live.

As part of her recognition as an edZOOcrew Kid Conservationist, edZOOcation is making a $100 donation in Claire’s name to the Bee Conservancy.

Please join us in celebrating Claire and the wonderful impact she is already making as a young Wildlife Guardian.
