Felt Pangolin Craft – Hands-On Fun for Wildlife Guardians

This month’s Conservationist Box comes with everything you need to create your very own Felt Pangolin Craft! Kids will love designing the pangolin’s overlapping scales while learning fun facts about this incredible insect-eater.

It’s a hands-on way to spark creativity, build fine motor skills, and highlight the pangolin’s unique scales. Best of all, it gives kids a chance to connect with wildlife through hands-on fun.

✂️ What You’ll Need 

  • Precut felt scales (light to dark colors) (included in September's Box)

  • 8x8 canvas (included in September's Box)

  • Glue Dots (included in September's Box)

  • Marker or Pencil

  • Scissors

🖌️ Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Prep the Canvas – Draw a large circle and spiral on your canvas.

  2. Sort Your Felt Scales – Lay them out from lightest to darkest.

  3. Begin the Spiral – Glue scales in a spiral, overlapping like shingles.

    • 1/2 of the way through the dark scales, pause and cut out the pangolin head and feet, then attach them.

  4. Let It Dry & Display – Allow 1–2 hours to dry, then hang or gift your pangolin!
