Celebrating Women and Girls in Science: One Wild Dream, One Powerful Impact
It started with one woman, a wild dream, and a deep love for animals.
On International Women and Girls in Science Day, we’re celebrating the curiosity, courage, and compassion that drive scientific discovery—and the women who open doors for the next generation to follow.
At edZOOcation, that story begins with our founder, Jenny Curtis.

From Passion to Purpose
Jenny is a zoologist, educator, and lifelong animal advocate whose career has been shaped by hands-on experience, scientific study, and a belief that education is one of the most powerful tools for conservation. What began as a passion for animals and learning grew into edZOOcation®—a mission-driven brand connecting kids with wildlife through fun, accessible, science-backed experiences.
Her work proves that science isn’t just something you study—it’s something you live. Through programs, products, and partnerships, Jenny has helped thousands of children see themselves as scientists, conservationists, and changemakers, no matter their age or background.
Why Women and Girls in Science Matter
When girls see women leading in science, they see what’s possible for themselves.
Representation matters—not just in labs and research papers, but in classrooms, at kitchen tables, and in everyday learning moments. By making science engaging, inclusive, and joyful, we can nurture curiosity early and help kids build confidence in asking questions, exploring nature, and caring for the world around them.
That’s how future conservationists are made.

Inspiring the Next Generation
Today, we celebrate Jenny—and every woman and girl who is exploring boldly, questioning deeply, and working to protect our planet. Their curiosity fuels innovation. Their compassion drives change. And their voices shape the future of science and conservation.
At edZOOcation, we’re proud to support and celebrate the women and girls who remind us that caring for wildlife and the world we share starts with curiosity.
Turning Curiosity Into Hands-On Learning
Inspiring kids to love science doesn’t stop with storytelling—it happens through experience. That’s why edZOOcation creates hands-on learning boxes designed to bring wildlife science and conservation education to life for kids.
Created by a zoologist and educator, each box blends science, creativity, and movement to help kids explore real-world concepts, ask big questions, and see themselves as scientists and conservationists. With ready-to-use activities for families and classrooms, learning becomes accessible, engaging, and impactful.
Because when kids experience science in a meaningful way, curiosity grows into confidence—and confidence grows into action.
